AAM Paediatrics is a private billing clinic. The fees billed on the day will reflect the item number chosen by the doctor based on the complexity of the appointment. This will adhere to Medicare rules and reflect the nature of the consultation. 

Payment for services will be required in full on the day of an appointment with Medicare rebates claimable on the day. 

Affordability is an important goal for us in setting fees and Medicare rebate plays a big role in helping families cover this cost but it does not cover all of the fee.  Be aware that fees can increase over time as Medicare rebates rarely reflect increases in practice costs. Please be aware that private health funds generally do not offer rebates for outpatient medical appointments.

Please call the rooms directly to ascertain the likely fee for your child’s appointment.

In case you have registered for and have reached the Medicare Safety Net, you may be able to claim a greater rebate on your consultation fee. 

Rescheduling/Cancelling appointments

Our clinic has a high referral rate resulting in pressure for appointments. In case you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment adequate notice is needed as it is very difficult to reschedule at short notice. Please call the clinic by 10 am one business day prior to your appointment day to discuss alternatives.  Failing to do so will incur a fee of 50% of the consultation fee.  If you fail to attend and we are not notified at all a 100% cancellation fee will be applied.

Future appointments are scheduled once all outstanding fees have been paid.
